About XViewer

XViewer lets you read public posts and look up public accounts on X (Twitter) without an account, plus save videos, GIFs, audio and photos from public posts.

Why we built it

X started putting more and more of the site behind a login. A link someone sends you, a tweet quoted in a news story, a post you want to double-check: they often open to a sign-in screen instead of the post. Plenty of people don't have an X account, don't want one, or have left the platform. They still need to see what was posted.

XViewer is our answer to that: a simple place to read what's already public, without signing up and without handing over a password.

What you can do here

How it works, honestly

Post data comes from the same public feed X uses for embedded tweets on other websites. Profile details come from a third-party service that collects public X profile data. Downloads are handled by a media processing service that fetches the file from X and passes it to you.

That also sets our limits. We only work with public content. We can't show protected accounts, deleted posts, or anything X keeps behind its login, and we don't try to get around that. We never ask for your X username or password.

Independent from X

XViewer is an independent project run by the XViewer Team. We're not part of, endorsed by, or connected to X Corp. or Twitter. Everything you see through XViewer belongs to the people who posted it. If you're a rights holder, see our DMCA page.

How we keep the lights on

XViewer is free to use. We show ads to cover hosting and data costs. You can read how ads and cookies work here in our privacy policy.
